Garden Songzanglin Monastery
Founded in the 17th century during the reign of the Great Fifth Dalai Lama, only 2 kilometers to the north of county proper, being one of the thirteen Tibetan monasteries in the Kangba Region, where Tibet, Yunnan and Sichun join, Garden Songzanglin Monastery is a nicknamed by local the Lesser Potala Place. Napa Lake
Napa is a seasonal lake just a few kilometers away from Shangri-la. In dry season, the lake area turns to a swamp that provides open ground for horse riding and an ideal localtion for migrant birds. Pudacuo National Park

Shudu, or here milk gathers in Tibetan, is one of the biggest plateau lakes in the region. The Lake is surrounded with deep primebal forests of fir and dragion spruce.The silver birch covering the eastern part of the Lake turns to golden yellow in autumn, providing very photogenic scenes. The natual grassland around the Lake is the best pasture in Shangri-la. At the turn of spring and summer, we may have pastoral scenes of the lake with herds of sheep and cattle.
