About Guilin Medical University: This is a public university which is located in the Guilin, Guangxi region, in China.

Earlier this University was popular in the name of Guilin Senior Nurse Midwifery School and was founded in the year 1935.
In year 1958 it was again renamed as the Guilin Medical School. In year 1987 it got the approval of the former State Board of Education and upgraded to a college which is dedicated for medical undergraduate studies. Again in the year 1993 it got the permission to train international students and by 2006 it got the approval for conducting graduate programs.

Sneak Peak on the campus: Guilin Medical University campus is located at Le Qun, Dong Cheng and Lingui and is constructed covering an area of 1334.27 acres in total.
Among the 3 campuses mentioned above Le Qun campus is the oldest one in the lot and based on downtown Guilin right by the side of some of the best hospitals of Guangxi Province, which are all affiliated to this University and students of MBBS can get their training as well as practice over there.

This particular campus is also located right by the side of the Li River (Guangxi) and the Jingjiang Princes' City. The main campus of the university is Dong Cheng located in the Li River east bank close to reputed hotels and Guilin University of Technology.

Degree Awarded: Bachelor's Degree Course Duration: 6 years Teaching Language: English Students qualification: Minimum 18 years of age, healthy mentally and physically with no criminal records.

Passed Grade Twelve (10+2)/HSC with no less than 60% marks in subjects Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, and Biology. Competent in English language with good character and must be ready to follow the laws and regulations of the country and the university.
Important information for Medical students from India:Medical Council of India (MCI) has not approved this university for teaching MBBS in English medium and so no application from Indian students will be accepted here.
